Shopping and Tiger Stadium

One of these days we're going to do more than see the Tigers play and leave but not this time. We drove past the old stadium and it was in pretty sad shape. It looks like they're about a third of the way through demolition. It sounds like they may be able to save the field at least. I figure that's more important than building. Although, I liked the old double-decker more than the newer style stadiums. It felt more like a world apart.

We stopped at the Howell, outlet mall on the way home. It was interesting to see the different types of outlets. Most of them were just normal retails stores but there were a few that got into the spirit of things. Those ranged from a small section of discount stuff to a couple who were almost entirely clearance stuff. We got some gift shopping done and picked up a few things for ourselves. We should have checked out the downtown. I suppose if we have more time when we go next.

It was nice to get away but I'm glad to be back with the kids. I'm not away from them much and it still feels weird.
